| The east-side take-out joint where the BQM burger journey begins. After a trip to NYC, BQM’s founder Saeed Mohamed, decided he’d had enough of computer programming and wanted to open a burger shop with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Hanging up his BlackBerry holster, Saeed flipped his first fresh ground patty on March 12, 2007 and a new Toronto institution was born.
